This is a custom LENS(TM) based system connected to a TRUMPF 3kW Nd:YAG laser. It is a 3 degree-of-freedom system with an additional rotary axis that can be used for certain applications. It is surrounded by an environmentally controlled chamber, and can be used for cladding, free-form fabrication, and LPD system and process development.
