The Quantachrome Autotap density tester can be used to measure the tapped density of powders by mechanically tapping (raising the cylinder and allowing it to drop a specified distance under its own weight.) The weight and volume, of the test specimen, are used to calcualte the tap density, which is an indication or powder quality.
